Eni awarded for Distinguished Corporate Contribution to the African Energy Industry at the Africa Energies Summit 2023

The award is a recognition of Eni's commitment to the continent, where it has a long history of successful projects, as well as its strong local partnerships.

San Donato Milanese (Milan, Italy), 23 May 2023 – Eni has won the 27th Big Five Board Awards in the category “Distinguished Corporate Contribution to the African Energy Industry”. The peer-voted prize has been awarded in the framework of the Africa Energies Summit 2023 in London.

The award recognizes Eni’s continued investments in the continent where has a long-established history of successful projects as well as its strong local partnerships.

The Big Five Board Awards is the longest running African-focused energy awards, established as a celebration of the very best individual and corporate contributions to the continent’s energy sector. In the past, Eni has been awarded for Africa Oil Legend, Special category in 2021.

Eni currently operates in 14 countries in Africa, where it produces more than 900 kboed. Eni is integrating Africa in the sustainable mobility value chain through the production of agri-feedstock to be used in biofuels production and is committed to supporting the continent in the energy transition process through the development of renewable energy and circular economy projects.
