Founder Enrico Mattei, with writer and poet Attilio Bertolucci, launches the magazine Il Gatto Selvatico, from the English wildcat, a term used to describe early oil prospectors.

Ecos magazine was born from an idea by Gianni Rocca, then head of the Press Office. Published until 2002, it featured hundreds of reports from all over the world.

Professione Gestore was established with the aim of reporting on the world of Refining and Marketing from businesses to end customers.

Thirty years after its first issue, Ecos magazine was replaced by the new magazine “Eni’s way”, which continues to report on changes in the energy world.

Launch of Oil Magazine, a quarterly tabloid dedicated to analysis and debate on the world of energy, environmental sustainability and development.

Oil Magazine became WE - World Energy, including in digital form, as exclusive reference to ‘Oil’ is too narrow for Eni’s activities and for the horizons towards which it is moving today.

Launch of the monthly Orizzonti, idee dalla Basilicata, dedicated to Val d’Agri, home to Europe’s largest onshore hydrocarbon deposit.

Protagonista reports on people and service stations: the focus is on the managers of the Enilive Stations, who are entrusted with the task of interpreting the changing scenario on the Eni network.

Current editorial projects

In addition to WE – World Energy, we produce two other magazines which are, however, only available in Italian. These are Orizzonti, idee dalla Basilicata and Protagonista. The first is a monthly magazine dedicated to the Italian region that is home to Europe’s largest onshore hydrocarbon deposit. The second reports on people and service stations, focusing on the managers of the Enilive Stations, who are entrusted with the task of interpreting the changing scenario on the Eni network.

WE - World Energy: an international perspective on the sector

The international magazine published by Eni is a place where readers can find feature articles and news to get to know energy and its world.
