Structural monitoring project for St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican
In collaboration with Fabbrica di San Pietro, Eni has initiated a technical sponsorship for the study conducted by EniProgetti S.p.A., in partnership with Eni’s Exploration/Geology and Geophysics division and the University of Padua, which was carried out in 2023. The study involved a comprehensive documentary analysis of the building’s soils and foundations, including a feasibility study and a technical proposal for the deployment of geophysical and geotechnical investigations aimed at implementing a “continuous” predictive structural monitoring system for the Basilica’s foundation structure. The sponsorship is intended to ensure the proper execution of the study.

International IREF23 Congress – Irradiation Effects on HTS for Fusion

Eni is Platinum Sponsor of the International IREF23 Congress - Irradiation Effects on HTS for Fusion, supported by the Institute of Nuclear Physics, the Polytechnic of Turin (PoliTo) and the Plasma Science and Fusion Centre of the Boston MIT. The event - part of the Superneon project (Study of high-temperature Superconductors Neutron radiation damage for compact fusion reactors) - funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), is of major importance for Italy-US agreements. It is the first initiatives where scientific community can meet, discuss and converge internationally, on topics such as superconductor irradiation in the fusion field, with the aim of strengthening the existing collaborations and creating new ones.

Eni is the main sponsor of the second edition of the Festival of Foreign Academies and Cultural Institutes held at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. After the success of the first edition, this second one aims to reach an even larger and more diverse public: in fact, public works and posters will be commissioned to the artists, graphic designers and illustrators in residence at the academies, which will be distributed and disseminated both in the city of Rome, thus creating an open-air itinerary, starting from the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, and then arriving at the Macro and the Mattatoio, as well as at Foreign Academies and Culture Institute venues. In addition, events to support the exhibition (workshops, guided tours, concerts) will be organised in theatres, cultural associations, galleries, special and important locations in the city.
Foundation for the Promotion of Births ets - National Summit on Demographic Trends 2024

Eni is sponsoring the third edition of the "National Summit on Demographic Trends 2024” (Stati Generali della Natalità 2024) initiative with the Foundation for the Promotion of Births (Fondazione per la natalità ets), an organisation created in 2021 at the initiative of a group of parents to raise awareness of the factors contributing to demographic decline. It addresses issues such as declining birth rates, population ageing and the challenges related to geographical distribution. This edition of the event be held throughout the year in the cities of Bologna, Palermo, Milan, Rome and Venice. There will also be a national event, a forum with various discussion panels titled “BEING THERE” (“ESSERCI”).
Eni is a sponsor of the World Children's Day, which this year will be held twice: on 25 May at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and on 26 May in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. It is an extraordinary event with a strongly symbolic meaning. It was announced by Pope Francis last December and will bring together more than 100,000 children from around the world to meet the Holy Father. It will be a unique opportunity for children to meet Pope Francis and share with him their hopes and concerns for the future, as well as for all the adults present. The Holy Father is expected to be present on both days.
Eni inaugurated the “Energie Contemporanee” exhibition project, conceived and curated by Spazio Taverna at the Gazometro site in Rome Ostiense. The exhibition is housed at the -1 floor of Gazometro 3 and runs from 2 June until 30 October 2024 with the participation of 17 among the best Italian artists of the new generation. The artists were invited to interpret the Gazometro spaces through the generative force of contemporary art, and they illustrate the evolving world of energy with their artworks. The event is the first of the “Arte al Gazometro” project promoted by Eni, which aims to bring art into the Gazometro Ostiense complex. The site is already dedicated to innovation. “Arte al Gazometro” will become a seasonal event and will promote collaborations with new artists every year. The initiative was designed specifically for the site that houses it, with the aim of using art to complete the project of making the Gazometro an enabler of innovation and of the energy transition, by promoting dialogue and collaboration between supply chains.
Eni is the main sponsor of the "Roundtable: Fusion & Energy Debate" organized by the VIU International University (VIU). The event concludes the International PhD Academy initiative "Energy & Society - The Case of Fusion", which will be held in Venice from 10 to 14 June, with contributions from faculty members of the associated universities of Padua, Ca' Foscari, Milan Bicocca, Bordeaux and Ljubljana. The event aims to bridge the hitherto largely separate conversations on the development of energy technologies with discussions on the broader ethical implications of energy, taking into account its social, environmental and geopolitical impacts, with a special focus on fusion.

This year’s program focuses on the concept of identity as the determining factor of our existence in the world. COP 29 - United Nations Climate Change Conference 2024

INDA Foundation - National Institute of Ancient Drama

Eni is the Main Partner of the theatre season of the Greek Theatre of Syracuse and of the International Festival of Classical Young People's Theatre for 2024-2025, organized by the INDA Foundation - National Institute of Ancient Drama - which has been staging performances of the classical repertoire at the Greek Theatre of Syracuse for over a century. Over the years, the theatre season has featured performances by leading artists from national and international stages, attracting thousands of spectators. In addition, the INDA Foundation carries out an important educational mission through the Academy of Art of Ancient Drama, one of the most prestigious theatre schools in Italy for the training of children and young people, and the International Festival of Classical Young People's Theatre, the most important theatrical event dedicated to the future generations at a national and international level.
Eni, in collaboration with FAI, promotes guided tours inside the Ostiense complex. The tours last about an hour and are conducted by FAI's specially trained professional guides for 7 or 8 groups of 25 people, following a common route. The aim of the initiative is to promote the knowledge and historical value of the Gasometer and of the surrounding architectural and industrial heritage, which is fundamental to the current urban regeneration process. It also includes spreading practices for a sustainable environmental transition, with a focus on Eni's activities in the energy sector.
Structural monitoring project for St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican
In collaboration with Fabbrica di San Pietro, Eni has initiated a technical sponsorship for the study conducted by EniProgetti S.p.A., in partnership with Eni’s Exploration/Geology and Geophysics division and the University of Padua, which was carried out in 2023. The study involved a comprehensive documentary analysis of the building’s soils and foundations, including a feasibility study and a technical proposal for the deployment of geophysical and geotechnical investigations aimed at implementing a “continuous” predictive structural monitoring system for the Basilica’s foundation structure. The sponsorship is intended to ensure the proper execution of the study.
