Our activities in the Netherlands

 One engineering are working in gas turbine electric power plant

In the Netherlands, since 2024 we operate in the sector of gas and hydrocarbon exploration, development, and production as part of the Neptune Energy acquisition. We are also active in the sale of natural gas in line with European energy policy and our energy source diversification strategy. We market lubricants. From the Netherlands, we also manage customers with the Routex multicard, the Eni group’s European fuel card for cashless fuel payments exclusively for professionals.

How we operate in the country

 Production and development of offshore fields

Eni’s activities are carried out in the North Sea including 29 offshore facilities with 4 major treatment hubs. In 2025 Eni’s production mainly comes from the F3, G-blocks, K2b-A, K9ab-B, L12-L15, L10/K12, L5 hub, Q13a-A and K6-D fields. The development activities of the year concerned the Final Investment Decision (FID) of the L7-F development project, production start-up is expected in 2026, the drilling of the L10-M4 development well, with production expected in 2026.

In the gas and lubricants market

We hold transport rights on a European and North African pipeline system. The pipelines allow us to import and market natural gas in the Netherlands too. We market petroleum products through resellers and direct sales. Through the International Card Centre (ICC) we hold the administrative management of the fuel cards for the Routex consortium, one of the largest fuel supply networks in Europe, for international customers. We also perform invoicing and clearing activities between group companies.
