We are committed to building an ecosystem of companies as protagonists of a socially just energy transition. We recognise the key role of our Supply Chain in the transformation process and we promote its development in a sustainable way, actively contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Through a systemic and inclusive approach we share values, commitments and targets with our suppliers, supporting and involving them in a path of growth.
We offer individuals and companies technological solutions to help them play a leading role in the future of energy. We are in constant communication with consumer associations, institutions and customers to guarantee products and services that are increasingly decarbonised.
Our focus report on Just Transition initiatives for workers, suppliers, communities and customers.

Sustainable Procurement means sharing values, commitments and objectives with the supply chain and verifying ESG positioning at all stages of the process. We support suppliers on a path of sustainable growth by providing them with programmes for the continuous improvement of their own ESG performance and market competitiveness.
Our commitment consists of four pillars:
Achieving sustainable development goals is a challenge that involves both large industrial groups and small and medium-sized enterprises, which are called upon to respond to demands on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) sustainability performance from all stakeholders, from customers in procurement processes, to banks in financial dealings, to investors, institutions and trade associations. In this context, collaboration and focusing on clear growth objectives is essential to enable all companies to focus on tangible actions related to their business evolution. For this purpose, Open-es was born, a system initiative that, through a digital platform, involves and supports companies in the path of measurement and growth on the issues of sustainability, bringing together the industrial, financial and institutional worlds. The project is the result of an alliance, initiated by Eni, with the Boston Consulting Group and Google Cloud at the beginning of 2021, which has been joined as partners by important Italian and international players such as Snam, Accenture, IVECO Group, Saipem, Autostrade per l'Italia, Unicredit, KPMG, EY, Baker Hughes, Engineering, Kuwait, Rina, WeBuild, illimity Bank, Avvale, ESG European Institute, Luiss Business School, SDA Bocconi and Gianni&Origoni. Open-es already has more than 14,000 companies on the platform, in a community that contributes daily to the sustainable development of the entire ecosystem through discussion, collaboration and identification of priority actions. The initiative enables the involvement of suppliers, analysing their sustainability performance and incentivising them to improve, having statistics and detailed reports available to compare the ESG performance of their value chain and integrate it into their decision-making processes.
Thinking in an ESG perspective means ensuring a future for your business. To ensure structural change across the whole ecosystem, it is essential to share an approach based on standardised, versatile metrics and comparable results. With a guided pathway, companies in the Open-es community can:
With the aim of focusing on growth plans for companies and creating synergies and opportunities for the entire business system, Open-es created the Development Hub area to make the following services and products available:
In addition, other solutions will be added to support companies on their path of circular transformation and sustainable development.
