Meeting between Claudio Descalzi and Alexey Miller at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

St. Petersburg, 25 May 2018 – A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer of Eni, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018.

The parties reviewed the state and prospects of cooperation in the gas sector, focusing on Russian gas exports to Italy. Between January 1 and May 24, 2018, Gazprom delivered 8.9 billion cubic meters of gas to the country. It was noted that Italy was one of Gazprom’s biggest export markets, remaining at the moment the third-largest importer of Russian gas.
