LNG Shipping SpA, 100% owned by Eni SpA, was incorporated on 26 July 2001 and operates in the transportation by sea of liquefied natural gas (LNG) through the use of LNG carriers in Time Charter Party. The company also provides support to Eni for shipping needs and the LNG business.

The LNG Shipping SpA Model 231 includes the Eni Code of Ethics and consists of a body of principles, rules and functional requirements for the establishment and operation of a control and monitoring system for sensitive activities to prevent the commission of the offences provided for by Legislative Decree No. 231. LNG Shipping SpA originally adopted by the Model 231 on 27 June 2005 and subsequently updated it in order to cover the offences foreseen in the area of corporate liability, until the new version was adopted by the Board of Directors on 26 January 2011.
Code of ethics
The Board of Directors of LNG Shipping S.p.A. has assigned the function of Guarantor of the Code of Ethics to the Supervisory Board.
The company manages all the activities related to navigation and maritime transport with ships and boats of all types and sizes, both directly-owned and belonging to third parties, in Italy and abroad. Acting on behalf of Eni, LNG Shipping is responsible for the commercial management of the maritime transport of LNG controlled by Eni - Chief Midstream Gas & Power. LNG Shipping also provides advisory support to Eni for shipping initiatives and the LNG business.
During 2014, LNG Shipping achieved a major milestone by obtaining the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, a testament to the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in health, safety and the environment, through the application of an appropriate and integrated HSE management system.
