His experience at Eni began in Rome, in 2003, in the Administration and Control Department of the Refining & Marketing Division as an auditor supporting process audits and relevant contractual compliance. In 2007, he took over as the Industrial and Commercial Investment Control and Evaluation Unit Manager.
From 2009 to 2020, as Vice President Planning Control and Investment Refining & Marketing, he oversaw the transformation of industrial businesses, including the conversion to biorefineries of the traditional refineries in Venice and Gela, the expansion of the Sannazzaro de' Burgondi refinery with the construction of the first industrial-scale plant using EST - Eni Slurry Technology, the sale and rationalisation of international and logistics businesses, and the entry into partnership in the refining branch of the UAE oil company Adnoc. During this period, he became a board member at Disma S.p.A. and deputy board member of Supermetanol.
From January 2021 to May 2022, he was Manager of Value Assurance in the Energy Evolution Department, supporting the authorisation processes and technical-economic verification of major investments, such as development in renewables, biorefineries, process optimisation in chemicals and power generation.
From June 2022 to April 2023 he was Head of Planning and Control at Eni Rewind. During this period, he was appointed board member of the joint venture Progetto Nuraghe and Administration and Control Manager at HEA, a joint venture between Eni Rewind and Herambiente.
He graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Palermo.
