Launch of ORa! Academy, Joule’s new training programme

Open innovation and an international, multidisciplinary approach are the main elements of the ORa! Academy: Joule’s new training programme, which is part of the ORa! (Outpost Ravenna for Energy Transition) project. The Academy offers a valuable opportunity for young graduates who are passionate about startups and innovation, and who want to gain practical experience and create connections with industry leaders.

The MBA-style training programme is free and will last 6 months from January 2025. Applications will be open from 23 September to 30 October 2024.

Programme aims

The programme, developed in collaboration with Mind the Bridge and the Municipality of Ravenna, is designed to equip young graduates with the essential skills and tools to develop a career in the world of innovation. It combines an international and multidisciplinary approach through theoretical lectures, workshops on open innovation, and collaboration between corporations and startups. Participants will also have the opportunity to work on real business challenges set by ORa!’s business partners. The course, lasting 6 months, is held through online and in-person classes in the cities of Ravenna and Rome. Topics are approached using lean startup methodologies, design thinking and innovation lab models, with the involvement of venture clients and representatives of the innovation ecosystem. 

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in any academic field is required to participate in the training programme. Participants must have good communication skills in English and Italian, and a passion for innovation and sustainability.
