Joule returns to Kenya and continues to focus on agribusiness. The Kenya Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program has launched for the second year running, offering local startups with innovative ideas a chance to embark on an incubation and acceleration journey that can develop and expand their business concept.
The program is a key lever for changing the agricultural landscape in the African country. All interested startups can submit their application by 22 April 2025 and participate in the subsequent selection phase to access the five-month courses.
The initiative, supported by Joule, the Eni Business School, in collaboration with E4Impact, was created with the dual aim of contributing to the sustainable development of new agricultural supply chains and generating a real impact on the Kenyan economy and society, supporting local innovation proposals in the agritech field.
Previously, Joule's initiatives in Kenya have resulted in the launch of three trials with local startups, and two additional Kenyan startups have become suppliers for Eni.
Joule began its activity in Kenya in 2023 with the pilot project “Seed for Sustainable Energy”, a three-day bootcamp to identify innovative local solutions to be introduced into Eni's agribusiness supply chain. This continued in 2024 with the first edition of the “Kenya Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program”.
