For the second year in a row, Joule participated in WomenX Impact, the event dedicated to female empowerment. A unique journey into the world of entrepreneurship, leadership, career, and sustainable innovation.

This edition reached record numbers. More than 160 speakers took to the stage to share their professional paths and careers, to inspire and educate the audience with their personal life experiences. Joule was represented by Serena Mignucci, Co-founder and CEO of Bufaga, one of the startups in the Eni School of Entrepreneurship ecosystem.

An invaluable opportunity to share innovative ideas and support female professional development. The event ended on a particularly symbolic day, 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Career development, work-life balance, the presence of women in the STEM world and building a new leadership were the main topics discussed during the event. Food, technological innovation, sustainability and artificial intelligence were also on the agenda.

The startup competition

The WomenXimpact startup competition was launched to enable startups founded by women, or with at least one woman on the board, to experience a unique experience of growth and engagement in front of an energetic and passionate audience, and to expand and consolidate their network. This year, Valentina Raule, Impact Assessment PM at Joule was on the jury.

The two winning startups:

  • Travelin: This startup, run by Marta Grelli, 26, from Turin, together with a team of six, has created Italy's first inclusive travel planner that also allows disabled people to create their own itinerary.
  • CrowdLanding:  Founded in 2023 from an idea by Elisabetta Gaia, this startup has developed land crowdfunding, a kind of bridge between investors and farms.

Eni, main sponsor of the event, provided the winning startups with a series of mentoring sessions with Eni experts specialised in vertical sectors to guide them on strategic and growth areas. In addition, they also had the chance to get exclusive access to the networking opportunities of the Joule Community, with over 9,000 members including startups, entrepreneurs, industry experts and mentors.
