Following on from its projects in Kenya and Congo, Joule has now arrived in Rwanda. This is the third African country in which Eni’s business school has carried out work, helping to support the business ecosystem and building synergies between local companies and Eni through initiastives, training and acceleration programmes.

In late November 2024, three local businesses (Sun Alliance, Multiservices, Stellar Engineering) took part in a training course that aimed to provide key skills for competitive and effective business management, building knowledge in the areas of health, safety, the environment, and protection of human rights. The course was held as part of the “Eni Clean Cooking Program”, developed to facilitate access to modern and efficient cooking systems, and was delivered at the University of Rwanda’s Kigali College Of Business and Economics.

Aims of the programme

The course created by Joule, with the support of Eni Corporate University and the collaboration of LUISS Business School, aimed to:

  • Improve strategic decisionmaking ability;
  • Build up financial competence;
  • Develop integrated marketing and management skills.

Theory lessons combined with practical workshops allowed the participants to test out what they had learned directly on their own businesses.
