In the design of groundwater remediation schemes, we use 3D numerical flow modelling, which allows us to interpret, represent and predict groundwater trends in their complexity, with the aim of regulating the amount of water extracted from the subsoil in real time. By doing this, we can adapt withdrawals to seasonal fluctuations or other external phenomena such as prolonged drought, saline intrusion and flooding.
