Who we are

Eni Next is Eni's Corporate Venture Capital company, created to integrate corporate research, carried out by internal and external researchers and in joint projects with other partners, with open innovation, enhancing the value of dynamic and innovative start-ups through early-stage financing and successive capital increases.

In particular, Eni Next evaluates and invests in companies developing technologies with a lower carbon footprint for energy production, improved efficiency for our industrial operations and digital solutions.

Eni is an integrated energy company with some 31 thousand employees in 69 countries around the world. They work at every stage of the value chain, including exploration, oil and natural gas development and extraction, power generation from cogeneration and renewable sources, traditional and bio-based refining and chemicals and the development of circular economy processes. The company will implement CO₂ capture and storage initiatives, the use of blue and green hydrogen and forest conservation projects (REDD+ initiatives), with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Over the last few years it has changed its energy mix to reduce its impact on the planet and contribute to decarbonization. Eni thereby contributes to a socially just energy transition, with the aim of promoting access to resources in an efficient and responsible way.
