Prior to joining Galvanize, Livingston has served across two Presidential administrations: in the Biden-Harris administration as senior advisor to the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry; and in the Obama-Biden administration as the inaugural Robert S. Strauss Fellow for Geoeconomics at the Office of the US Trade Representative in the White House.
David is the inaugural Innovation & Sustainability Fellow at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, and serves on the external advisory councils of Eni Next and Novo Nordisk.
In addition to government service, he previously worked on global macro issues at the Eurasia Group, advised several family offices and financial services firms on energy transition investment strategies, and helped create the clean energy and climate programs of both the Atlantic Council and the Carnegie Endowment. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the University of Oxford, is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a Patron of the San Francisco Ballet.
