The training of young Mozambican engineers who now work aboard the plant

Valuing local human resources has always been a pillar of Eni's business model. A value the company implements through a distinctive “dual flag” approach, based on collaboration with the countries in which it operates in order to identify the specific needs of local communities.

At the same time, Eni is committed to creating job opportunities and transferring its know-how and expertise to local partners, creating social, and economic development and supporting communities concretely though, for example, medical care, education, and projects modernising agriculture, among others.

The young Mozambican engineers who have become part of the “big Eni team” since the early engineering stages of the project are an example of this. They were specifically selected and trained through an intensive training programme to work on the development of specialised operations for the Coral South FLNG plant. Their training covers a vast range of topics and are designed to meet the need for qualified professionals in Mozambique.
