Title: 02. Carbon neutrality
Abstract: We try to reduce and compensate for emissions of climate-altering gas, with the aim of bringing them down to zero.

Description: <p>We have made a commitment: we will achieve <strong>carbon neutrality by 2050</strong>. To achieve this goal, we have adopted a series of actions that will result in the<strong> complete decarbonization of processes and products</strong>, taking into account the emissions generated throughout their life cycles. </p> <p>This pathway uses existing technologies and will allow us to <strong>completely reduce our carbon footprint</strong>, in terms of both net emissions and net carbon intensity.</p> <p>We are relying on an <strong>energy mix of natural gas and renewables</strong>, together with bio-refineries and circular economy projects. In order to offset hard-to-abate emissions, we are also focusing on technologies for <strong>capturing, storing and using CO₂</strong> and on <strong>forest protection and conservation</strong> projects.</p>

Title: 03. Local development
Abstract: We want to grow together with the countries and communities that host us.

Description: <p>We want to grow together with the people who host us. Eni has been working since its very beginnings in the interests of <b>independence for producing countries</b>, in both economic and energy terms. <br><br> With a view to the UN's SDGs, we carry out <b>projects of local development</b> in collaboration with <b>local government and communities</b>. The main fields we work in are economic diversification and access to energy, water, education and health care. <br><br> To strengthen our commitment, we have built up a network of valuable international partnerships with <b>UN agencies</b> (UNIDO, FAO, UNDP), <b>universities</b> and independent organisations involved in sustainable development, like the <b>Danish Institute for Human Rights</b>.</p>
