Dr. Alessandro Lesma

Scientific Committee

Dr Alessandro Lesma graduated summa cum laude in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1977.

At the same university, he obtained the specialization in Hepatic and Biliary Diseases in 1980 and then in Digestive System and Endoscopic Surgery in 1985.

He held a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1988 and 89 and was a fellow at the Institute of Surgical Pathology at the University of Milan, where afterwards he was appointed Assistant and later Assistant Head Physician .

In 1994/5 and 1995/6 he was visiting Professor at the School for Digestive System Surgery at the University of Milan.

In 1995 he was appointed to an executive position in Eni's Medical Services unit, becoming its director in the following year; a position which he currently holds.

He is a member of the Mayo Alumni Association, the Italian Association of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene, as well as the Scientific Committee of the Italian Association of Travel and Migration Medicine. He is also the author and coauthor of more than 50 papers published in national and international journals.
