Vincenzo Boffi

Secretary General

Vincenzo Boffi was born in 1947 and is married, with two children.

After a degree in Statistics at the Università "La Sapienza" of Rome, and a Master's degree in Advanced Technology at Sogesta, Urbino, he joined Eni in 1974, in the energy and petroleum marketing area.

From 1982 to 1994 he was head of Eni's branch offices in Egypt, Poland and the People's Republic of China.

From 1995 to 1998, he was responsible for coordinating Eni's South East Asia and Far East commercial activities.

Being particularly aware of the importance of sustainable development concerns, he was put in charge of setting up a specific Corporate Social Responsibility department, which he coordinated until 2006, when he was appointed Secretary General of Eni Foundation.
