The results of the Recent Graduate Survey (RGS), commissioned by Cesop Communication, shows that Eni is the most favoured employer by young Italian graduates who have recently completed university studies. This year the podium for Best Employer of Choice is all-Italian: with Intesa Sanpaolo in second place and Enel in third.
But what are the characteristics that young graduates are looking for in a potential employer? According to the results of the survey, which examined 153 of the leading companies operating in Italy, a recent graduate is above all looking for solidity and a stimulating environment that is able to provide professional training and offer career development opportunities. The closeness of the place of work to the place of residence is less important than in the past.
The award, which was accepted on behalf of Eni by the operations director of Eni Corporate University Marco Coccagna and the head of recruitment, selection and relations with universities Massimo Culcasi, at the headquarters of Borsa Italiana in Milan, provides confirmation of the attention paid by Eni to attracting and managing the best talent.
The Recent Graduate Survey is conducted on behalf of Cesop Communication, a human resources consultancy established in 1990 that works with many of the most prestigious Italian and international companies in the development of Employer Branding. Every year, since 2002, it analyses, the opinions and expectations of recent graduates about the job market, their preferences and objectives with regard to companies. The information collected consequently constitutes a permanent statistical observatory on the evolution of opinions about and the image of companies. The recent graduates interviewed are selected from those who completed their degrees in the same year as the survey, which means that the Recent Graduate Survey 2010 is based on the replies of 2,500 students who graduated in 2010.
