Materiality analysis

A materiality analysis has been conducted to determine which sustainability issues are considered the most relevant, both inside the company and by all of the main stakeholders. Levels of significance attributed internally were measured by means of a questionnaire distributed to a sample of Eni executives.
External perceptions, meanwhile, were measured by combining and analysis of requests made by stakeholders to Eni during the year under examination and the frequency with which the issues analysed appear in the questionnaires of the ratings agencies (SAM, Vigeo, Eiris and Goldman Sachs). The materiality of the issues is the result of the intersection of the significance levels measured internally with those measured externally.
