  • 8 March 2012 - The most desirable for young Italian graduates
    Eni confirmed as the most coveted company by young Italian graduates.
    It was declared the winner on the basis of two surveys carried out by Cesop and Emblema, consulting firms active in the employer branding and corporate recruiting sector
  • 24 October 2011 - Eni in third place in the CSR Online Awards Italy 2011
    With 79 points (equal with Hera), Eni has been classified third in the fourth edition of the CSR Online Awards, Europe's first detailed study of the online communication of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The study examined how 50 leading Italian listed companies use their corporate web sites to communicate their approach to CSR.
  • 17 March 2011 – Eni's General Counsel Legal Affairs named General Counsel of the Year at the annual European Counsel Awards
    Massimo Mantovani,  Eni's General Counsel Legal Affairs was named General Counsel of the Year at the annual European Counsel Awards ceremony held in London.
    The European Counsel Awards are organized by the International Law Office, with the support of the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe, which conduct in-depth analysis of in-house lawyers and legal departments worldwide.
  • 28 February 2011 - Eni awarded "Gold Class" in the SAM Sustainability Yearbook 2011
    Every year SAM publishes its Sustainability Yearbook which provides an account of the best sustainability performances in each business sector and describes the state of the art in the sustainability strategies of the world's leading companies. In 2011 Eni was once again awarded Gold Class recognition (first obtained in 2009) in the Oil & Gas sector.
    The study is based on an analysis of replies to the "Corporate Sustainability Assessment" questionnaire,  which is sent out to the top 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index. The companies with the highest evaluations are included in the Dow Jones Sustainability index. Eni's place was confirmed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World index also for 2010: the company was first included on the list in 2007 and, in 2008, Eni was the best performer in the oil & gas sector.
  • 21 January 2011 - Eni in second place in Lundquist Employer Branding Study
    With a score of 62 points out of 100, Eni was in second place on an equal score with UniCredit in the Employer Branding Online Awards Italy 100  conducted by Lundquist. With a score of 67.5 points, Pirelli & C. was in first place.
    Evaluations were made on the basis of a list of 58 criteria, calculated on the basis of the results of a questionnaire compiled by more than 400 people from 37 different countries. The questionnaire examined what people are looking for when they visit corporate websites in search of job opportunities. The study clearly showed that companies are not exploiting the potential of the internet nor are they using their brands as a lever to give them a competitive advantage in the struggle to attract the best talent.

  • November 2010 - Eni wins the FERPI Oscar for reporting

    Eni has won, in the category Large Listed Companies, with its  Annual Report and Sustainability Report, this year's Oscar for reporting. The prize is organised and run by  FERPI  – Federazione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana. Despite the complexity typical of a large-scale organisation, Eni was able to communicate not only business results, but also its social and environmental performance and to provide a complete and exhaustive account covering the various dimensions of sustainability and governance.

  • Eni ranks first in the CSR Online Awards "Global Leaders 2010‘ ranking

    19 October 2010 – Eni has been ranked as the best company in the world in 2010 for the online communication of its corporate social responsibility initiatives ("CSR‘) and activities, according to the 2010 Global Leaders, an annual study published by strategic communications consultancy Lundquist.
    Eni retained its position as the top company for the second year running by achieving a score of 75.5 points out of 100 which was significantly above the average score of 47.6 achieved by other companies.
    The study conducted by strategic communications consultancy Lundquist examines the 91 companies listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, the most prestigious international index for the evaluation of CSR, in which Eni ha been included since 2007.

  • 6 May 2010 - Oscar Masi prize for industrial innovation

    As part of the annual AIRI Day for industrial innovation, Eni was awarded the "2009 Oscar Masi prize for industrial innovation" for innovative technological research in the field of renewable energy and, more specifically, in photovoltaics. The winning project for luminescent solar concentrators was developed at the Donegani Institute.

  • Eni comes top in the Vigeo European classification for transparency in Sustainability reporting

    27 February 2010 - Eni has ranked first in an European classification for the transparency of the information communicated – in particular to analysts – on the issue of Sustainability. The result emerged from the "CSR - What do companies report on?"  report published recently by Vigeo, one of Europe's leading corporate social responsibility ratings agencies. Eni achieved this recognition thanks to 99% coverage of pertinent information.


  • 2 December 2009 - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) received in Astana the Bronze "Paryz' Award in "The Best Collective Agreement' category.

    The Paryz Award is assigned annually to the companies demonstrating commitment to their social responsibility. In particular, the Best Collective Agreement category awards collective agreements that are significantly improving and strengthening labour and social rights of the employees in accordance with the country's legislation.
    The jury of the Contest has taken into account the main provisions of the KPO Collective Agreement including a 30-days paid work leave, paid leave to distance learning students, vouchers for sanatorium treatment for KPO employees and members of their families, free transport from home to work place and back, free meal at work, medical insurance and treatment to KPO employees and members of their families, bonuses and other benefits.

  • Eni is confirmed second in the Accountability Rating Italy – 2009

    Accountability Rating Italy is a ranking drawn up by SCS Consulting using the methodology of AccountAbility, the international non-profit think-tank whose mission is to promote accountability innovations for sustainable development in compliance with the " AA1000‘ standards. The Accountability Rating Italy evaluates the 40 companies of the FTSE MIB index on the basis of public domain information in four key areas: Strategic Intent, Governance and Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Operational Performance. Also in the Accountability Rating Italy - 2008 , Eni had ranked second.

  • Csr Online Awards 'Global Leaders 2009'

    22 October 2009. With 84.5 points, Eni has been awarded first in the 2009 edition of the CSR Online Awards 'Global Leaders 2009' , a global ranking compiled by the international financial communication firm Lundquist. The Swiss banking group UBS, with 66 points, came second in the list and Royal Dutch Shell, with 63 points, came third.

    On 26 May 2009 with the same 84.5 points, Eni had been placed first in the 2009 edition of the CSR Online Awards Italy (second place Telecom Italia with 69.5 points, third place Banca MPS with 64 points).
  • Golden Prometheus Award

    On September 24th, Agip Karachaganak BV received the Golden Prometheus 2009, a prize awarded for the best social program of the year in the Oil&Gas field.
    The Golden Prometheus has been awarded during the IV Eurasian Energy Forun in Astana, in response to a Master in Petroleum Engineering organized in collaboration with Eni Corporate University and the Polytechnic University of Turin, sponsored by Agip Karachaganak BV.

  • World Heart Champion

    On 23 September 2009 the Italian Heart Foundation has awarded Eni's E&P with the World Heart Champion prize "for setting an example in taking responsible action for the health of its employees, with special attention to the relationship between the environment and the work profiles as risk factors in cardiovascular diseases.‘ The prize is part of the 2009 World Heart Day,  which is celebrated around the world on 27 September.
  • 2009 Corporate Social Responsibility Award

    Eni Chief Executive Officer Paolo Scaroni is the winner of the 2009 Corporate Social Responsibility Award, a distinguished honour awarded, on 17 June, by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) to organisations and individuals for outstanding contributions to sustainable growth and corporate social responsibility.
  • National Prize for Innovation for the Eni Research Centre – Donegani

    The 2009 Prize was presented on 8 June at the Quirinale Palace by the Italian President, Giorgio Napolitano, to Mr Riccardo Pò. The Eni Research Centre - Donegani was awarded in the large-scale industry and services sector, for the patent for new polymers thanks to which it is possible to create innovative photovoltaic cells able to generate electricity also from solar radiation at higher wavelengths.
  • Getenergy Awards

    In London, on 23 March, presentation was made of the " Getenergy Awards ", prizes for excellence in training and education in the Oil and Gas industry, sponsored by Getenergy (a facilitation in training and education firm in the O&G sector).

  • Paolo Scaroni received the Petroleum Executive of the Year 2008Petroleum Executive of the Year

    Eni's CEO, Paolo Scaroni, received the "Petroleum Executive of the Year 2008" award made by Energy Intelligence in cooperation with the International Herald Tribune.
  • Italian H&H Webranking Awards 2008 and Webranking Top 150 Europe H&H

    Eni has won the 12th European edition of the H&H Webranking annual survey, obtaining the title of "Best European Website' in online financial communication. The website has also been awarded by H&H the Italian prize.
  • Giorgio Sacerdoti Award

    Eni received the "Giorgio Sacerdoti Award‘, founded by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, the Fondazione Politecnico and AICA (the Italian Association for Informatics and Automatic Computation), for its system of knowledge management.
  • Petroleum Economist Award

    Eni was awarded the Petroleum Economist Award for Transparency in Corporate Reporting, among a group of finalists that included BP, the BG Group, the China Light & Power Group and the EDF Group.
  • First Ethics & Enterprise Award

    Eni's Multicultural Training Project, a transnational training project at the European level, was awarded the first Ethics & Enterprise Award and other external recognition (the European Foundation for Improvement in Living and Working Conditions, CSR-Europe and others.)
  • Best ecological program

    In Kazakhstan Agip KCO's commitment to environmental research was rewarded with the "Best ecological programme‘ prize at the Gold Prometheus awards.
