Alberto Clô - Director

Born in 1947.

He has been Director of Eni S.p.A. since June 1999.

He is currently Director of Atlantia S.p.A., Italcementi S.p.A., De Longhi S.p.A. and IREN S.p.A.

He graduated in Political Sciences at the Università di Bologna, where he is currently associate professor of Industrial Economics and of Public Services Economics.

In 1980 he founded the magazine "Energia" of which he is the editor in chief. He is the author of many books and more than 100 essays and articles on industrial and energy economics and contributes to a number of newspapers and business magazines.

In 1995 and 1996 he was Minister of Industry and Minister of Foreign Trade ad interim. He was also President of the European Union Board of Industry and Energy Ministers during Italy's six-month presidency.

In 1996 he was decorated Cavaliere di Gran Croce of the Republic of Italy.
