FAQ - SUSTAINABILITY

What does Eni do to protect the health of people and communities in the places where it operates?

The protection of the health of both its own people and the communities in the areas in which it operates, has always been at the heart of Eni's objectives, not merely by respecting existing norms, but by aiming for excellence.
As part of such efforts, Eni has in place a system for health management based on international OHSAS 18001 norms, which is standard across all of the company's operating activities.
Such methods from the basis for the development of local plans for occupational medicine, healthcare, the evaluation of workplace impacts and the management of emergencies, and enable the achievement of service agreements with other companies in the sector operating in the same area.
A fundamental role in the area of community health in the territories is played by the Eni Foundation  whose mission is the protection of the rights of children and the aged, through social initiatives that protect wellbeing and development, in line with the values and principles that have always characterised Eni's approach.
