FAQ - SUSTAINABILITY

How does Eni evaluate its impact on the territory?

Eni systematically conducts (environmental, social, health assessment, EHSIA) impact studies that include the integrated evaluation of the environmental, social and health impact of all projects, whether exploration or development, also in compliance with local legislation. When such projects are defined and the realisation phase confirmed, complete documentation is submitted to the relevant authorities for approval and to be consulted when necessary as per local procedures.
In 2010 EHSIAs (Environment, Health and Social Impact Assessment) were carried out in Congo, Venezuela, Algeria and Mali.
