FAQ - REFINING & MARKETING

How are purchases checked?

Each Eni fuel card is a finance card, meaning that all purchases made by the cardholder are payable to the card issuer, i.e. Eni Adfin. Eni provides two separate fiscal documents: a list of transactions and a statement of account.

The cardholder receives three separate documents for purchases made
An invoice ( fattura riepilogativa ) issued by Eni (for purchases in Italy) or by Eni Benelux b.v (for purchases abroad) detailing each individual transaction (date, time, receipt number, location, product, amount). This invoice is valid for accounting and tax purposes. As well as being listed individually, purchases are listed by product, service, net cost and VAT amount. In the case of an international card used abroad, separate invoices for each country in which purchases were made are issued to allow for VAT refunding.
A list of transactions issued by Eni Adfin detailing how much the cardholder owes Eni Adfin for all purchases during the accounting period invoiced by country.
A statement of account ( Rendiconto finanziario) issued by Eni Adfin showing the cardholder's total amount owing on invoices (due and overdue) and bills.
