FAQ - REFINING & MARKETING

What are the differences between refueling a car and an aeroplane?

The problems involved in refueling an aeroplane with jet fuel can be difficult for non-experts to appreciate. Superficially a passenger seeing a plane being refueled can imagine that it is very similar to refueling a car. However it is important to consider that in the time it takes, roughly 5 minutes, to refuel a car with about 40 liters of petrol, an plane can receive around 4,000 liters of fuel.
