Oil should be topped up at least once a year. However, the frequency advised by the manufacturer of the vehicle may vary according to the type of lubricant in use, the use of the vehicle (country, urban, motorway), and temperature and mechanical requirements.
It's a good idea to check your oil level around every 1,000 kilometres.
