What are the main uses of natural gas?

Given its  extreme versatility, ease of transport and high calorific power (i.e. the energy that derives from burning) natural gas is an ideal fuel for industrial and domestic purposes: cooking, hot water heating and central heating.

Moreover, in recent years that has been a development in Italy of cars driver by methane. In fact, Italy now has around 500,000 such vehicles, a third of the world’s total. In addition to the environmental advantages of methane-fuelled vehicles, there are also interesting cost benefits too.
