How do methane prices vary?

Like other fuels, methane has no fixed retail price.
However, Eni's wholesale price to service stations may depend on variations in the dollar prices of certain petroleum derivatives.
So for wholesale methane prices at least, variations in oil price and the dollar-euro exchange rate carry over into the cost of methane.
