What is the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei?

The Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei is a non-profit research institute focused on topics related to sustainable development. Recognized by the President of the Italian Republic in July 1989, it has become one of the world's leading research centers in its field. The efforts of the Fondazione are based on three criteria: a rigorous analysis of innovative and pertinent research topics, a clear focus on the real world, a multidisciplinary approach and the creation of a transnational research network. The main lines of research are centered on sustainable development, the relationship between business and the environment, privatizations and corporate governance. The Fondazione's work involves some of the world's most prestigious research institutes in a network of more than 70 research centers, 90% of which are abroad.
