The most important Ecofuel's product is MTBE, of which Ecofuel has availability both by its own production made in Ravenna – Italy  and by purchases from abroad Joint Venture Companies  in which Ecofuel is partner.
In particular, Ravenna plant has been the first ever built in the world, in 1973.  In Venezuela, Ecofuel owns a partnership of 49% in  SuperOctanos CA, that manages an MTBE production plant with a capacity of 500,000 tons/yr. In Saudi Arabia, Ecofuel owns a partnership of 10% in Saudi European Petrochemical Co. "Ibn Zahr", the biggest MTBE producer of the country, with 1.4 million ton/yr of total capacity installed.

Ecofuel markets also methanol mainly originated by the production  of  Supermetanol CA,a company where Ecofuel owns a partnership of 34,5% and that manages in Venezuela a methanol plant production with a capacity of 720,000 ton/yr.

Ecofuel markets worldwide (Europe, the Americas, Asia) approximately 2 million ton/yr of products,  carrying out its sales either directly from the production plants or indirectly throughout distribution out from coastal terminals.

The  products list is  completed  with  bio-ETBE and with iso-octane.
The bio-ETBE, which  may also be produced in Ravenna plant by using bio-ethanol as feed-stock, is a product that, once blended with gasoline, allows to comply with the legislative obligations , recently introduced in Italy, of having a bio-quota in the automotive fuels pool. In Venuezuela is in progress the investment to convert the MTBE SuperOctanos plant for the alternate production of iso-octane and MTBE. Such technology is patented by Snamprogetti-Saipem and Ecofuel.

Main elements

1st June 2007 is the date when REACH, the new Regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, has come into force. The new Regulation has replaced a number of European directives and regulations and had placed responsibility on the chemical industry  to demonstrate the safety of its products.
The regulations (CE) 1907/2006 "REACH", published on 30/12/2006, is a profound re-examination of the complex of European Union norms in the sector for the control of chemical substances for the protection of public health and the environment and, for the first time, attributes to industry responsibility for demonstrating the safety of its products.

In the general context of the implementation of the REACH Regulations (CE) 1907/2006, one of the fundamental aspects concerns the exchange of information between producers and importers, as well as the users of chemical substances ("downstream users").

A key element in the dealing with the REACH Regulation directives is a smooth and efficient communication among all actors: manufacturers, suppliers and customers.

To implement and facilitate the transmission of information, Ecofuel has created a contact points dedicated:
