commitments
In 2010, the LNG terminal in Panigaglia (La Spezia) regasified 1.98 bcm of natural gas (1.32 bcm in 2009).
Eni, through Snam Rete Gas, operates the only regasification terminal operating in Italy at Panigaglia (Liguria). At full capacity, this terminal can regasify 17,500 cubic meters of LNG per day and input 3.5 bcm/y into the Italian transport network. Eni plans to increase the capacity of the Panigaglia plant from the current 3.5 bcm to 8 bcm.
From 2014 the upgrade of this structure will allow to increase imports to Italy by 4.5 bcm/y. Works are expected to start up by 2010, if all authorizations are granted.

Commitment on international pipelines
Eni, in compliance with the antitrust commitments presented last February to the European Commission and approved by it on September 29th, 2010, will divest its shares in the companies that own and manage the transport capacity on the international pipelines TAG, TENP and Transitgas to bring gas into northern Italy respectively from Russia (TAG) and the North of Europe (the system TENP/Transitgas).
In compliance with the above mentioned commitments, eni has appointed Mazars S.p.A. and Studio Economico as Monitoring Trustee.
The Monitoring Trustee shall ensure, on behalf of the European Commission, the economic viability, marketability and reliability of the divesting companies and supervise their management as distinct from the business retained by eni.
In order to achieve this last goal in compliance with the above mentioned commitments, eni has appointed in each of the divesting companies a Hold Separate Manager who takes care of the ordinary management of said companies, according to the principles mentioned above.
