Refining & Marketing Fond

The Refining & Marketing fond contain documents of Agip Petroli and its subsidiary and associated companies. The 8 units of archive material include the company's books of Agip Petroli (from 1977 to 1985) and Ip (from 1928 to 1965). This archive is about to be increased thanks to other documents some of which have already been acquired but not yet put in order and others which have not yet been collected from the Eni refineries at Gela, Livorno, Porto Marghera, Ravenna, Sannazzaro and Taranto.
 
For the other specific activities of the Refining & Marketing Division, such as the marketing/distribution of oil products in Italy and abroad, the documents referring to the network of service stations have not yet been catalogued in the way first planned by Enrico Mattei. However, the historical archive does include a series of documents that have not yet been catalogued (but have been put in order and therefore can be consulted on specific request), referring to the property activities of Agip Petroli. This technical material deals with the construction in Italy of service stations, motels and petrol deposits.
