Exchanges in Art: Georges de La Tour is reinterpreted by six young street artists

The eternal allure of light and shadow, interpreted with traditional and innovative techniques, provides an unexpected juxtaposition of 17th century art and street art. This, in a nutshell, is the relay between Georges de La Tour and six young contemporary artists: ivan, Nais, Seacreative, Tawa, Tvboy and Pao. As soon as the masterpieces by the French Caravaggio (admired by 210,000 visitors in Milan) returned to the Louvre museum, on January, 9 the work of the young artists, which painted the exhibition wall just in one night in the ‘chiaroscuro' of the Sala Alessi , as streamed live on the internet, began.

In being moved from Palazzo Marino to the Superground, the La Tour wall has become a trait d'union between the various areas and souls of the city, between its centre and the suburbs, coming together through the shared medium of art, conceived as a language of exchange between political and social ideas.

The wall, split into six parts, one for each work of art, was moved to the Superground in Via Bussola 4, where it will be exhibited to the general public free of charge from 14 to 31 January.
